The program consists of a number of categories, and is divided into two main streams.
Strategic profession:

Skilled Worker - designed for those who have a job offer from a local employer in certain sectors of the economy (eg, information technology), in which the province is experiencing labor shortages.
Health professionals - only for nurses, doctors and midwives, who can confirm their qualifications to meet the requirements of the local license.

Foreign students - this category is intended for employers interested in hiring foreign students graduating in Canadian universities.
Business category:

Business Skills - This category is intended for experienced entrepreneurs with capital of $ 2 million Canadian dollars, and are able to invest a minimum of CAD $ 800,000. The investor must submit a business plan to take an active part in the management of the enterprise, and create 5 jobs.
Projects - Canadian or foreign companies may be invited for the position of manager or key expert who will contribute significantly to economic development of the company. Required an investment of $ 1 million Canadian dollars and the creation of five jobs.

Regional Business - This category is intended for experienced entrepreneurs with capital in the amount of CAD $ 600,000, interested in starting or expanding their businesses outside the Greater Vancouver. Proposed investments in the amount of CAD $ 300,000 and the creation of two jobs. Greater Vancouver includes the following municipalities: Burnaby, Coquitlam, Delta, Langley City, Langley District Municipality, Maple Ridge, New Westminster, North Vancouver, Port Coquitlam, Port Moody, Richmond, Surrey, Vancouver, West Vancouver, White Rock. Further, all amounts are in Canadian dollars.
